Chapter one: The day it all began Submitted: 4/11/06 It was a calm day in Konoha. The rain clattered through the streets and clashed against windows as people went about there business. Ninja came and left on new missions, Villagers worked in there shops or tended to there houses, preparing for the storm ahead. Tsunade-Sama was asleep on her desk when there was a knock at the door, Ton Ton jumped on to her lap at the noise, awakening her from her slumber. " C-come in! " she said quickly pretending to sort her papers in to piles while swiftly hiding her Sake cup and bottle under her desk. The Door opened with a creak as a Konoha jounin walked in, followed by a girl. She stopped at the sight of them. She gave the girl a quick analithical look before turning to Kakashi the Jounin accompanying her. Shizune followed them in and moved to hand Tsunade some papers. " Tsunade-sama, This is the girl who you where informed about last week. The only survivor of the Spiral Village." Shizune told her before letting Ton-Ton jump into her arms. The girl was tall for her age, she was about 16 but seemed 18. She wore a mix of Red, Black and white clothing in the style of her village. She wore her Hai-te-ate about her neck and kept her Purple and black hair back with a bandanna. She stood, her hands supporting her head, a calm but expressionless look upon her face. She moved her light blue eyes to meet Tsunade-samas. Her split puples staring into her whole ones. Tsunade watched the young girl for awhile before speaking, her chin resting on the back of her folded hands. She saw something in her, a spark a little flame of something unique that she liked. She had spirit that was for sure but a very calm demeanor. " What is your name girl? " She ask in a firm but kind tone. The girl paused for a moment before speaking, " My name is Aurea Cupun, Of the Spiral Village " She said in a quiet, calm voice. She had not shown any distress, nor had she shown sadness. She had just lost everything she had known. Her clan, her friends, her village everything was gone and yet although she was not smiling, she was not sad either. Tsunade leaned back in her chair turning to Kakashi who stood at her side, " Please will you wait outside. I will wish to speak to you in a moment but for now I would like to talk to this girl on her own. " He nodded walking to the door and slowly shutting it behind him. Cupun watched the rain as it fell across the window not looking as he left nor as Tsunade began to speak. She watched the girl as she crossed her arms across her body, " Shizune, please can you take a report from Kakashi while I deal with this. " She said firmly without looking at her. Shizune paused glancing between the two, " Hai, Come Ton-ton.." She left the room to speak to Kakashi awaiting outside, " Please come with me Kakashi-sensai " Came Shizune's muffeld voice from behind the door. Tsunade waited before she could no longer hear there footsteps before speaking again. " I realise this must be hard for you, it will take some time before you will recover but at the moment we must talk about your future. " She glanced at Cupun who continued to stare out of the window. " As you may or may not know, Konoha and Spiral where close allies. As the only survivor of this sad event... you are bound to be cared for by this village. We understand that this will be hard to deal with on both sides of the case, however what we prepose is that you live in this village from now on. Later, If you feel you wish too we will join you to a group allowing you to become a shinobi of this village. " She stopped as Cupun turned to face her, " You wish for me to become a Konoha Shinobi? Why, what use could I be to you. The only tecniques I know are that of my clan. Ones in which are normaly feared by others, so why do you wish for a someone such as I to become one of the estiemed Konoha Shinobi? It makes no sence at all.. How could I ever become part of this village... knowing not one person... nor it's history? " Cupun sighed turning back to the window. Tsunade was a little taken aback by her comment but continued none the less. " As I have said it will be hard, I understand ajusting to such a postion will be difficult, However if you are willing, we have already made arangments for you... I have no expectations as of yet. However I'm sure we will find out who you are.." She had closed her eyes, a somewhat sneaky smile crossed her face. Cupun slid her eyes over to her, " You will be lucky.." She mutterd under her breath. " As for now-" Tsunade continued, " someone will take you to your new acomadation, we have set it up for you to use. You must be tired please get some rest, I would like to talk to you again tomorrow.." She swiveled her chair around her back to Cupun, at that moment there was anouther knock at the door. " Come in." Shizune re-enterd with Kakashi, she placed the report on the mountinous pile that she already had. Tsunade waved her hand , "Kakashi, I leave her in your hands for the time being she needs some rest.." Kakashi turned to Cupun who now had a rather disaproveing look upon her face, " Shall we go then? It's going to storm tonight. It would be best we leave before lighting strikes." He gave a short bow before moving to the door, he did not look to see if she had followed but continued to walk down the hall. Cupun ditherd for a moment before following him, her shoes echoed quietly after his, as she came to the entrence she shivered, it really was cold. She looked up at the rain falling from the sky. " So this is how it is.." she whisperd. Tsunade was silent after they had left, she stared out of the window thinking hard. Shizune watched her reflection, she jumped alittle when she began to speak. " Shizune, position Anbu enforcement around her room... This may be harder then we thought."
